The Surfers Coalition, Neighbor

A group of Surfers who have been effected by the Malibu Lagoon Restoration Project have formed an Alliance of Activists to promote and spread the word about the details of this project by attending City Council Meetings, Regional Water Quality Board Meetings & SM Heal the Bay Meetings. 

We have also met with other Non Profit organizations to gain knowledge and facts of what has been done to prevent this from happening over the last 2 years, what has held them off and what continues to be needed while State Parks and the City Of Malibu allow this project to move forward.

To help the local public and surrounding communities, All had come together to protest at the corner of PCH & Cross Creek, to allow the people to express themselves with homemade signs and times to come meet and protest together. From June1-June 15th, we stayed from morning til night holding signs to get the word out to the public with what was about to take place in their own front yard, malibu surfrider beach and malibu lagoon.

We will do our best to get the info out to all of you as often as we can, alot has happened since `June 1, 2012 and more will continue over the next 6 months.
