Homeless Garden Goes on Tour

The garden sparks conversations on gardening, use of public spaces and other ideas.

Carts of "gardens" were wheeled from the Labor Exchange in the parking lot to the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Webb Way earlier this week. The Homeless Roving Garden, as it is called, sparked conversations on a variety of topics, including gardening and the use of public spaces.

The garden became "homeless" when the county earlier this year ordered a garden in front of the Labor Exchange be dismantled because it did not have a permit.
